Access Statement for Workare Ltd at Waterton Buildings Brocastle Avenue

This access statement does not contain personal opinions as to our suitability for those with access needs, but aims to accurately describe the facilities and services that we offer all our visitors.

Introduction

The Consulting rooms are located on an Industrial Estate about a mile outside Bridgend. The building was built in the in the 1960’s and was the administrative block of a previous Sweet factory. We are not on a bus route and it’s generally too far to walk to from the City Centre. There is a bus that sops on the main road about ¼ mile from our premises.

Pre-Arrival

We require advanced notification if stair access is not practicable as we are situated on the first floor with stairs only as access. We can arrange for you to be seen on the ground floor in another company training room but this must be arranged in advance- at least 2 weeks. We regret that we are unable to accommodate pets but do of course welcome assistance dogs.

Car Parking and Arrival

There is off road car parking available and this extends round the building. Access to the front door is by ramp so those with some limitation of movement can gain access

Reception Area

This is on the first floor through the entrance door and down the corridor. Seating is comfortable in leather settees and also there are hard upright chairs available.

Consulting rooms

These are all off the main corridor with no steps.

Toilets

The toilet is at the top of the main stairs before the entrance door. It is a large unisex toilet which can be locked on the inside. It is spacious with 3 cubicles and hand washing facilities.

Public Areas – Halls, Stairs, Landings, Corridors

All public areas, hall, stairs, and landings are well lit using Ceiling lights.The entrance hallway is carpeted and has brick walls.

Additional Information

There is always a responsible person on duty who is familiar with emergency evacuation protocols. In the event of a fire or emergency the responsible person will take charge and evacuate all personnel. A log will be taken of all those present.
